The earth seems as though it is shaking, but thankfully
God’s kingdom will not be shaken.
When I feel as though I am being pulled headlong into fear,
I remind myself of all the times God has rescued me. The times when I have felt
the most powerless over my situation, God has shown himself to be strong. He
has shown himself to be faithful and longsuffering. He has done this many times
over; in preventing the crash, in saving the baby, in healing the disease, in
providing the meal, in bringing just the right thing at just the right
time. He has shown Himself to be in THE
ONE who really is in control. He created the universe. There is nothing He
cannot do. Nor is there anything in our
situation too great for Him.
Someday only His kingdom will remain – and this may be sooner
than we believed. Only His goodness will remain. The evil of negativity will be
dismantled. Even today in our current battle He is beginning to turn the tide.
The division of hate, and the fear that tells us the enemy is winning will
prove to be small, and unremarkable.
Why? Because the greatness of the problem is conversely
proportionate to the greatness of God’s power.
Impossible? Wait and see. The greater the storm, the greater the miracle
of calming the storm. The more hopeless
the situation, the more hope He brings.
The stronger the fear, the greater the victory in battle.
God is in the midst of us. We will not be moved. He will
help us - just at the break of dawn. Ps. 46:5
