My Shepherd

The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want. Searching for others brings discontentment.

He makes me refreshed. My mind doesn’t race to be amused; I am at rest.

My soul is after its destiny; no more empty seeking.

He leads me into that which I was born to be within His everlasting kingdom.  He has called me His.

What if I do encounter evil?  It will not succeed in bringing me into fear.

For My Father never leaves me; He rescues, protects, and guides me.

There is a constant banquet set before me. I delight to partake when I am accused. It is there I am honored – even in the face of the enemy.

I am proclaimed as His favored; I have abundant joy.

The loyalty of His mercy surrounds me every day.

I will dwell in His house now and forever.
